Proof of Kyl's tricks...right on the AIR! |
|
The calls Senator Kyl ISN'T receiving.
Senator Kyl has been
eager to appear whenever possible on radio and TV, as well as newspaper
interviews reciting the same propaganda: “Angry constituents’ phone calls
to my office are declining, and we’re now receiving calls supporting the
“Compromise Immigration Bill.” A Phoenix activist named Anna not only learned the reason for Kyl’s claimed “decline,” but went on local talk radio (The Charles Goyette Show) and publicly blew the lid off Kyl’s sleazy behavior. All the while our activists were calling Kyl’s offices to hear “the mailbox is full,” the pro-illegal alien forces who used the toll-free numbers (in Spanish, of course) paid for by the Coalition for Immigration Reform had no difficulty reaching a live human voice answering Senator Kyl’s phone. After trials and testing, it was very obvious that phone numbers from “No Amnesty” callers were being blocked! After Anna’s on-the-air
announcement, the station called Kyl's office to demonstrate to listeners
the blocking of calls from amnesty opponents. When the "mailbox is full"
played on the air for all Goyette's listeners, the station staff had a
good laugh, and Goyette said, "Anna, you are right. You can't get through!" After the show, Anna called the D.C. and actually got through to an aide! When she reported that their blocking calls had been broadcast "on the air," the aide calmly said "Yes, I know it." Clearly the aide not only knew of the blocking, but also monitored radio talk shows so they could remove the blocking if the word got out to the public! Our calls are not down or "trailing" rather not being taken. When you call Kyl's office, let the staff know that you've heard of their sleazy tricks. Kyl evidenctly doesn't think he has enough ill will and anger directed his way; he and his staff set themselves up for even more! As of now, Kyl’s phones are accepting calls from the “NO on Amnesty” people, but that’s only until they find another underhanded way to avoid listening to angry Americans. The Good News: For Kyl and his staff to go to such efforts means we were hammering them hard and they were tired of our phone calls telling them what they didn’t want to hear. Double the efforts, and be sure to mention what you think of their blocking your calls. If you live in another state and experienced the same inability to reach your Senator (in the past, John Cornyn of Texas has done similar tricks), ask your Senator’s staff if they’re doing the same thing as Senator Judas Kyl. Let them know that their support of Senator Judas Kyl, his “compromise sell-out,” and his behavior will reflect very poorly on them.
