Sanchez of CNN interviews William Gheen of ALIPAC |
Does Sanchez hear Gheen of ALIPAC?10*10*07
CNN, Cable News Network, was founded in 1980 by Ted Turner, born native to Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A. in 1938. Clearly, CNN was born an American Media Outlet. Turner, a philanthropist, is an avid supporter of the United Nations and has pledged $1 billion to the global organization. Today, this native born media giant - CNN hosts a show anchored by Rick Sanchez. Rick Sanchez speaks and translates Spanish into English live on the air. When you tune into Sanchez, you may watch an interview involving people who only speak Spanish. English speaking people may feel "left out" when Sanchez begins to carry on dialog entirely in Spanish, with Hispanics, Mexicans, AND Illegal Aliens. I found it very strange, to tune into CNN, see that CNN logo in the corner of the screen and at the same time, hear two-way dialogue entirely in Spanish. I wondered if I was listening to Telemundo by MISTAKE!! It sounds like Sanchez and CNN are looking to add Spanish to the American landscape. Does CNN use both English and Spanish languages during an internal corporate board meeting? Do the CNN control room operators use multiple languages within their production studio? Would it be effective for CNN to have multiple languages within their book keeping, mail or graphics departments? It's obvious that CNN wouldn't operate internally with multiple languages, but they seem to feel that America would operate better with BOTH English and Spanish. How could this be?
